Overview footage of Operation Dragoon, the WW2 invasion of Southern France, on August 15, 1944. Shows glider landings, paratrooper drops, pre-invasion bombing and shelling as well as the troops hitting the beach. Also shows the smoldering remains of the LST 282 that was destroyed by a "radio controlled flying bomb". This was the only ship sunk/destroyed during the Dragoon landings in southern France.
