Today I am Sanding, cutting & polishing gelcoat applied by roller and brush method on boat hull. Yesterday I did the 2nd coat of gelcoat where I applied the wax. I got the all the tools and materials needed. I am no professional, and I always saw videos of other people doing these, so I just have very basic tools, a cheap orbital sander and loads of sand paper, I also did splurge on the cutting and polishing compounds and final wax which isn’t cheap, but I am after a showroom boat condition. Let’s see what today brings! I will use premium cutting and polishing compounds from PAI Boats, their NW1 Plus and TOPFINISH 2. Unfortunately my supplier did not have the PAI boats wax, so I bought that from somewhere else’s and after some research, the best wax out there supposed to be the one from 3M. I’ll keep you posted!
