2013 Toyota Rav4 Power liftgate not working or opening by itself when pressing the open or close button. In the 2013 Rav4 there is a button in the glove box that can be accidentally pressed when putting anything in the glovebox therefore disabling the power liftgate operation and you then have to manually open and close the door. Most Toyotas like the Venza, Sienna, 4Runner, Sequoia, Highlander should have a ON / OFF button that can disable the power liftgate. If yours is not a Rav4 but the power liftgate stopped working please check your owners manual.

Also another note. I was installing a wiring harness for a trailer and had to disconnect the battery. If you have the liftgate open, you may have to manually close it and then it should work.
