Friday night's telethon for Stand Up To Cancer raised $109 million for cancer research. Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston, and Sofia Vergara are just some of the stars that were there and have been affected by the disease. Eric Stonestreet said, "My mom's a survivor, a two-time survivor, I've lost, unfortunately, my fair share of family members." And even Kerry Washington revealed that someone close to her heart is a survivor, "My mother's a breast cancer survivor." Dane Cook said, "I lost both my parents to cancer within nine months, and it was brutal, really devastating." The stars were out in full force to eradicate a disease that takes 580,000 lives each year in the United States alone. The evening featured performances by The Who, Dave Matthews Band, Common, Lupe Fiasco, and Jennifer Hudson. Pierce Brosnan pulled on heartstrings with his speech, opening up about losing his first wife, Cassie, and daughter Charlotte to ovarian cancer. "Let's build that future where we hold our loved ones hands, watch them grow old as it should be after a long life fully lived." Check out this video to see more from the event, and tune in to "The Insider With Yahoo" on TV tonight.
