Prophet Yahya (as) was the son of Prophet Zakariyah (as). This was the first time that anyone in history was named Yahya, and he was named by the God himself. Even as a child, Yahya (as) was unlike any other child. His knowledge of scriptures and his complete devotion to god was acknowledged by everyone.
