I finally finished my Rivarossi N scale Big Boy DCC conversion using a TCS M1 and Richmond Controls tender pickups. As you can see, it runs really smooth. Prior to adding the tender pickups, the locomotive would stall often, but after adding the tender pickups it runs smooth all the time. My next upgrade will be adding an LED light and flickering red light for the firebox. By the way, I can see why most DCC installers charge so much money for DCC upgrades. It's very time consuming and requires lots of patience. Let me know what you think and don't hesitate to ask any questions.
