A joint ILO/EU/UNESCO project is supporting the conservation and rehabilitation of cultural heritage at the World Heritage Site of the Erbil Citadel. The ILO is applying Employment Intensive Investment Programme (EIIP) approaches to create decent jobs for around 1,000 workers. In addition, the ILO through EIIP approaches will facilitate the recognition of skills for 40 workers in three different occupations related to the conservation of historical sites.
