Went out the other evening with my mate Dizzy to test his new RC speed boat the Volantex Atomic

This catamaran twin-hulled racing boat is tons of fun straight out the box, the box says it can do 60km per hour, I'm not sure it's quite 60km, I'm also not sure we have the space on the pond to get it up to that speed even if it could!

All I know is was really nice to get my hands on a really fast boat to have a play with, though It was a relief to hand the controls back over to the owner as it was a bit scary for me to use, kept imagining crashing it into the side with the slightest slip-up

The boat seems pretty stable, it can be flipped over however with high wind and choppy waters, In order to avoid this it's best to let off the throttle for really high speed turns as it does not have a self-righting mechanism.It is however very water tight and even if rolled should stay afloat long enough to drift back into the side of its own accord
