John-Paul Nickel is a writer/producer/director with experience in television, film, and theater.

For television, JP’s writing credits include NBC’s Lincoln Rhyme: The Hunt for the Bone Collector (2020, Supervising Producer); Amazon Studios’ Just Add Magic: Mystery City (2020, Supervising Producer); Amazon Studios’ Emmy nominated Just Add Magic (2015-2019 Producer); and Syfy’s Warehouse 13 (2012-2014, Story Editor).

Additionally for television, JP is a two-time honoree of the WGA Diversity Program’s TV Writer Access Project (2016 & 2019), a WGA Award Nominee (2017), a 2020 Emmy nominee (along with the all the producers for Just Add Magic Season 3), and has developed with NBC.

Currently, JP is developing a television series with Sony and Counterbalance Entertainment.

As filmmaker, JP recently completed his short film The Other Wayne, a Batman fan-film that is currently playing at film festivals.
