A policeman with the rank of lance corporal was fined RM1,500 by the Sessions Court here today after he pleaded guilty to a charge of accepting an RM200 bribe, last year.
Judge M. Bakri Abd Majid also sentenced Abdul Hadi Abu Bakar, 29, to serve one month jail if he fails to pay the fine.
According to the charge sheet, Abdul Hadi who served at the Patrol Vehicle (MPV) Division 8 of the Crime Prevention Community Security in Ipoh district police here, allegedly agreed to accept the bribe.
