A bone density scan by itself is not enough.
Sure, the scan informs you whether you have osteopenia, low bone mass, or osteoporosis, but it's not telling you the complete story.
👉A bone density scan fails to show if you are currently losing bone. Most importantly, it fails to indicate the true quality of your bone.
👉A person's bone density determines how much bone they have.
👉 On the other hand, bone quality is determined by the bone's structural integrity, microarchitecture, and organizational structure.
If you truly want to understand what to do in order to improve your bone health and build a stronger bone structure, you must look beyond just the bone density scan.
