In the video you can see a humorous reenactment / parade of Al Capone's 1940 Caddy V16 and a 1941 Ford in official Massachusetts State Police colors.
This Cadillac Limousine (long wheelbase bustle-back sedan) is powered by GM's second generation V16 motor. Other than the sixteen cylinders it shared nothing with the earlier OHV motors. The first generation V16 was essentially a twin-eight Buick Fireball motor and no cost was spared on quality and presentation. From 1930 to 1937 Cadillac's 452 cubic inch V16s were made, looking like a rolling work of art. For the last three years of the V16 motor's production run (1938 to 1940) the sixteen cylinder engine was based on Cadillac's own flathead V8. At that point it was about profitability, not all out world class engineering, design & styling.
That being said this car is still really cool as it's one of the last Cadillacs ever made with a V-16 motor, andof course it's original infamous owner. The Collings Foundation in Stow, MA owns this car along with a few dozen others from the brass era all the way through vintage race cars & even several aircraft. This Cadillac is normally parked next to a 1931 Diamond-T stake bed truck that was routinely used by Al Capone's operation to smuggle in liquor into Chicago.
