In this presentation, Jed gives a no-nonsense overview, in plain English, of Networked Media Open Specifications (NMOS). Spearheaded by the AMWA, development of NMOS began with the definition of Registration & Discovery and Device Connection Management which met the needs of many users.

The latest advancements in NMOS take it to a new level, surpassing the level of control provided in SDI while also adding a layer of security that has been sorely needed in control systems for quite some time.
