Here is the last video in reducing the back draglines. This correction is primarily done on knits.
Again, always check that armhole depth-first between front and back bodices to make sure they’re balanced! For knits, you definitely don’t need a lower back armhole in comparison to the front.
If that doesn’t eliminate the issue all the way, you could reduce your waist by pinning at the side seam. However, this does change the silhouette by making it slimmer.
You would then mark your pattern the amount you pinned.
Make sure you’ve mirrored those side seams. However, in some occasions, you can cheat and reduce more on the back panel than on the front, making the side seams no longer mirrored.
For some reason, this correction really does hide the draglines for knits. They are still a little there but are more horizontal and just don’t show as much.
I spent the weekend filming the fitting video for the Moulage course. I’ve also made the imperial to metric conversion for the calculations worksheet, and I have sent it to the developer for special scripting -making it super easy to have the right calculations! Yay!!! I’m super excited about it.
Somehow, I keep thinking I’m getting close to finalizing things, but more to-do’s keep popping up 🙃 It’s something I’m trying to be patient about, and this whole process is new to me. I just really want to be thorough with the whole course!
