Vanguard index funds produce both great returns and passive income. Check out which index fund I just parked $400,000 into. I put my money where my mouth is and show you the results of my investments. I plan to hold Vanguard index funds for 30 years to grow my wealth.

I started investing through Vanguard directly when TD Ameritrade used to charge ~$10/trade. (Vanguard Index Fund investing was free then and remains free today)

Since TD Ameritrade now offers free trading I have moved my positions there as I also purchase other stocks and like to keep my money in one account for investing simplicity. Index fund investing is a great way to get total market exposure for only a few hundred dollars. Shares of Vanguard's VTI trade at ~$206/share at the time of my writing this. That means you can have total market exposure with only $206! To do that yourself otherwise you'd need millions of dollars to purchase one share of every stock in the market.
