i picked up the Sony XAV-AX5000 for my 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Freedom Edition. I was really excited about it, but i started having some issues with it. i initially thought it was the OnePlus 7 Pro, but i have the same issues with the Samsung Galaxy Note9 and the Pixel 3a XL.

It simply doesn't work unless you are plugged directly into the USB from the head unit itself.
