This is the pressrelease of that concert:
On the pop scene, Rufus Wainwright (1973) needs no introduction. The American-Canadian singer-songwriter has blazed a trail across the world of theater and opera and as a movie actor. Wainwright has experienced personal turmoil recently because his mother, folk singer Kate McGarrigle, passed away, his daughter Viva was born and he announced his engagement to Jorn Weisbrodt. The echoes of these life events can be heard on his latest album Out Of The Game. It was produced by Grammy winner Mark Ronson, known for his productions with Amy Winehouse and Adele, among others. Ronson and Wainwright appear to share a preference for music from the 1970s. The songwriting of Harry Nilsson and Elton John and the warm, grooving sound of Steely Dan were the inspiration for Out Of The Game. The album is Wainwright's most accessible record so far. His warm voice and classically oriented piano playing can be experienced to their best in Ronson's soulful and richly orchestrated production work.
