Michael O'Flaherty
EU Agency for Fundamental Rights, Director

Michael O’Flaherty has been Director of the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights since December 2015, before which he was head of the Irish Centre for Human Rights and Professor of Human Rights at the National University of Ireland. He was previously a member of the United Nations Human Rights Committee, and has more than 20 years of experience in human rights work at national and international level.
