KINDER (children/קינדער) by the famous Hasidic Jewish singer composer and songwriter Yom Tov Ehrlich from his first album Yiddish Nachas track 03.
The lyrics by Ehrlich is on the life of Hasidic children in Williamsburg NY in line of the album's describing the beauty of Jewish life in the Hasidic enclaves.
The song is an older Russian tune of a song called Spinning, Spinning Blue Ball (Крутится, вертится шар голубой). It is broadly known in Yiddish music as the tune for the famous song "Vu Iz Dos Gesele?" (where is the street). Interestingly Ehrlich's lyrics mentions in its first line "Geselech" (streets), same as in the Yiddish song and as well in the Russian song in the second line.
It's not clear where Ehrlich picked up this song, from the Russian or rather the Yiddish one. But in light of a whole lot of other Russian melodies used in his albums It's fair to assume that this one too he got from the Russian song.
