In today's video, I go see a 180 Gallon Discus fish tank, walking through how I do maintenance and water changes, as well as rescuing one of the beautiful discus. The 180 gallon aquarium belongs to NBA assistant coach Damian Cotter, and I've been working with him over the past year to maintain his fish tank, but also to convert the aquarium into a natural aquascape and beautiful discus fish tank.
About a year ago we decided to remove the previous aquascape, which was infested with pest snails, and go with a temporary bare bottom tank with a nice piece of driftwood and pots. We're going to be adding a substrate and some live plants to the tank very soon, and it should really put this Discus tank over the top. I'm hoping the discus I rescued today will make it through treatment and rebound. It would be a beautiful addition to my own Discus aquarium if this guy makes it.
