Nairobi County officials have closed a vendor's kitchen in the central business district that makes and sells street food such as smochas, kebabs, eggs, and smokies to vendors, for failing to maintain hygienic standards. A visit by the Nairobi county Department of Environment revealed the public health threat posed by the supplier who has no regard for cleanliness as he prepares food in rat-infested surroundings.
