The Lahore High Court adjourned the hearing on the contempt of court petition against Maryam Nawaz till Wednesday.

According to the sources, Justice Shujaat Ali Khan of Lahore High Court heard the petition filed by Rana Shahid's advocate, the court directed the petitioner to present the court verdict regarding contempt of judiciary.

The position taken by the petitioner was that Maryam Nawaz made accusations against the judges while giving a speech in the worker convention in Sargodha, Maryam Nawaz scandalized the judges without any evidence, Maryam Nawaz's speech damaged the prestige of Pakistani judiciary in the whole world.

In the application, the court was requested to take action against Maryam Nawaz by taking notice of contempt of court.
