Two keys to hitting more effective inside out forehands on those balls where you have to travel a little further to get around the backhand and balance needs to be dynamic. This move takes a lot of athleticism and practice but it can be punishing to your opponents! The more you move with your knees bent the more natural this feels. If you're not really harnessing your kinetic chain (legs) in your normal forehand it will be tougher to get it on the inside out, so really try to be conscious of powering the swing with the legs.
Like with all shots we need to be extending towards the target with the racket head. This is the most common situation where the racket wants to wrap around your body instead of extending towards the target because of the momentum carrying us towards the sideline.
