As the weather started to get hot here in Mobile Alabama, our roses are officially entering the summer bloom phase. Today, I would like to show y'all how my second flush Alnwick rose from David Austin looks like under the hot 90 degree sun. The bloom size are much smaller like 2 inches. It will probably last for 2 to 3 days and not deep cup like spring. However, this rose repeat fast during summer and it will continue to bloom into frost. I do love its bloom but only wish it will last a little longer. This is not a good variety for cutting during summer. It does has a beautiful medium strength raspberry fragrance in the rose. I do recommend it for the landscape purposes since it repeats well and bloom upright. Hope it helps!
