In a surprise update to Pokémon GO, Niantic added a new Daily Incense Lure that has brought Galarian Zapdos into the game. Along with Zapdos, Trainers have the chance to catch Galarian Articuno and Moltres as well.
Niantic has specifically mentioned the addition of the Galarian Legendary Birds in Pokémon GO, but multiple Trainers have already spotted them as they explore the wild. Now that we know they exist in the game, and can be caught despite a low catch rate, it's time to go searching for some new Legendary Pokémon.

Galarian, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres are not just roaming around the wild at will. You'll first need to activate the brand new Daily Incense lure in Pokémon GO to catch them. Not only are these given out to all Trainers every day going forward, but they are also entirely free, so everyone is involved.
These new lures don't act the same way as traditional lures. They will only last for 15 minutes, so they have a fourth of the activation time of a normal Incense Lure. Similarly to other lures, you will need to walk with the daily lure activated to keep Pokémon spawning.

Trainers have reported all over Twitter that these Legendary Birds have a low rate of spawning directly from the Daily Incense. Considering they are new Legendries, the odds are still super low. Even lower is the chance of catching one, which some have gauged at under a 1% chance.
