Winning Tactics For Dating With A Disability
Many people, who are getting into dating with a disability, are looking for the winning tactics. Everyone wants to know, exactly how to secure a great date every time. Sadly, there is no perfect formula. The only proven strategy is confidence and being yourself. That sounds awfully cliche, but it's also the truth. Sure, there are many different personality traits, that people find desirable. Whether or not you have those traits, doesn't dictate your date-ability. But for fun, let's give a quick evaluation:
If you're the type of person, who initiates conversation, or suggests the first date, it shows:
- You're confident
- You don't like wasting time
- You know what you want
- You're not shy
- You're bold
- You don't let your disability define you
- You're comfortable dating with a disability
On a scale of 1-10, your date-ability would be at 8-9. This means that most people, who receive a message from you, will likely want to continue the conversation. After the first date, they will most likely want to call you again.
If you're the type of person, who waits to be asked on a date, or to be sent a message, it shows:
- You're timid
- You may know what you want, but you're not willing to reach for it
- You're passive
- You're restricted by your own shyness
- You're not comfortable with yourself
- You're not comfortable with your disability
- You're nervous about dating with a disability
On a scale of 1-10, your date-ability would be a 3-4. While you might get the messaging process and even a first date, it's unlikely that someone will call you, for a second date. Instead, they may favour someone, who is in the range of 6-9, on the date-ability scale.
This has nothing to do with dating with a disability, it's just the dating process in general.
Before you can look for love, through dating with a disability, you have to love yourself. The success rate of your dating experience, actually depends on your self-love, above anything else. You'll notice that the two comparisons that we mentioned, didn't include anything physical. It doesn't matter what you look like, even if the beauty magazines and health magazines, suggest looks are important. It's personality, that really makes a lasting impression. That being said, dating success relies on a positive lasting impression.
The only way you can guarantee, a great dating with a disability experience, every single time, is by being a great person to date.
There are some excellent confidence building workshops online, which should help you to prepare, for the world of dating with a disability. Of course, not every date will be a success. Even if you're a great person to date, the person you choose to date, might not be. This is impossible to avoid. But, you'll learn how to limit those negative dating experiences, as you go along. You'll learn to recognise the signs of a person, who rates low on that date-ability scale. It works for both men and women alike. Another way to work the scale, is simply in confidence. If your confidence is high, your date-ability is too. If your confidence is low, likewise.
The world is full of love. There is someone out there, waiting to find you. But you have to be the you, that they are going to want to find and fall in love with. You have to be confident in yourself.
