DIY: The best option after arriving in Hanoi, is to take a bus from either Luong Yen or My Dinh bus station to Ha Long City, the journey by bus or limo takes around 2 to 3.5 hours (180k VND to 350k VND a trip). You'll arrive at Bai Chay bus terminal (or directly to your accommodation) and take a cab to Tuan Chau Island (150k VND to 250k VND a ride).
