Following a surgery, for the first 10 days, you will not be able to wash the transplanted area. Small crusts start forming in and around the grafts. You can start shampooing after 10 days. The small crusts that form around the grafts, they fall off in another 4 -5 days. So by 15 days, you will have only the follicles left behind. These follicles will fall off in the next one month and growth starts only after 3 months and is completed by 9 months.in the first 3 months, you are not going to see a significant improvement following the transplant. Then one by one, the grafted follicles will start sprouting and the sprouting are completed by 9 months. So on an average you will have the first haircuts approximately after 9 months after surgery.
