"Well, we like to think that we saved a good ship from a bad government. We're really pleased to have this ship and the German people are really pleased with the way we've taken care of it. When we return to Germany the guys that built the ship and took care of it come and see us and they always let us know how happy they are that we've taken good care of the ship."

"We've got a crew of 60 people on board and they are dedicated hardworking individuals. They all wanted to be here and they're the pick of the litter. So they are the best the Coast Guard has to offer. This professional crew rallies 150 trainees together and creates an incredible program onboard. So it's a lot of fun to watch the crew make things happen here."
