We built our rear frame mostly due to heavy rust on our f150 frame, but it was a good opportunity to upgrade!
This frame is made out of 4"x8"x1/8" wall box tube with a 6" C Notch built in, with this frame the new wheel base on the truck is around 110". We plan on also towing with the truck so strength is a huge concern, that's why we not only double welded all seams but we also fish plated the C notch entirely as well as the union from the OEM frame to the custom frame.
