Far from the usual Bulalo recipes we know, here’s a beef shank served with gravy in a sizzling hot plate.
Serves 3 to 4.
Ingredients:
Set A:
800 to 900 grams beef shanks (bulalo)
Water, for boiling
1 Tbsp. salt (or 1 pack Wow Sarap All-in-One Seasoning Granules)
1 pc. onion, chopped
1 tsp. black pepper
Set B (Gravy):
4 Tbsps. butter
4 Tbsps. flour
3 cups beef stock (from boiling liquid)
2 Tbsps. Silver Swan Soy Sauce
1 tsp. whole peppercorns
Set C:
2 tbsps. margarine or butter, or as needed
Fried garlic, for garnish
