Gorgeous colored 2.85 CTS faceted natural spessartite Garnet gemstone originating from Africa. This measures approximately 9.2 x 7.2 x 4.5 mm and is cut into an oval shape.

The stone has one of the most fabulous colors we have seen in a garnet, with a bright vivid orange, an unmistakable orange without many other undertones. The gem also displays an excellent sparkle on a high luster surface.

This stone was sourced by a personal friend of mine in Bangkok who works in the gem market there. We asked him to find us something special for our clients, and was able to source these impressive spessartite garnets.

There are other types of orange garnet, but there is only one spessartite garnet, considered to be the most valuable and desired of all orange garnets. These are sometimes referred to as orange Mandarin or Fanta Garnets.

The gemstone is fully transparent and has good clarity. There is some slight natural inclusions found upon inspection. This can be considered SI clarity. There is no discernable damage or chips and is in great condition.
