Hey everyone in this week’s video we are continuing our “Did the Early Church…” Series. In this series we already covered: “Did the Early Christians Pray to the Saints?”, “Did the Early Church Believe in Sacred Tradition?”, and “Did the Early Church Believe in Confession? This week are covering the topic of the Real Presence and the Early Church. Did the Early Church Believe that Christ is really present in the Eucharist, or is it something new to the Catholic Church? Let’s look at what the Early Christians had to say on the matter!

In this the Series of “What Did the Early Christians…”, we look at what the Early Christians taught and believed. The purpose of this series is to analyze what the Early Church taught and to see if we still engage in those teachings today. Often times there will be claims made against a teaching within the Church by non-Catholics, the root of the claim is often “the Catholic Church invented that years after Christ”. To combat those claims, let’s look at what the Early Christians said by looking at quotations that they said on the matter. Commonly we focus on 4th century to 1st century Christians. This reasoning behind this is: many non-Catholics claim that the Catholic Church was not the Church Christ established in Matthew 16:18, but instead the Catholic Church was started in the 4th century by Constantine.

About me:
Hi! My name is Vanessa and I am a 22 year old (as of video date) from Los Angeles, California! I am very invested in my faith and found a passion for teaching others about it. My passion all started out due to the fact I wanted to convert someone to Catholicism to make my life easier when it was time to get married. Long story short, that person did not convert, and I was then left with all this knowledge about the faith and about Church history and no where to put it. So now you have it! I want to educate as many people as I can on the faith, and help them understand the truth that Christ has revealed to us through the only, holy, catholic and apostolic Church he founded. I am on my journey to understand more. Everyday I work towards educating myself more and more. I will never hit the finish line of studying in this life, I will continue to learn everyday. With that being said, I may hit some bumps in the road... maybe I will get a few dates wrong... and maybe even pronounce some words wrong (even the English ones!). But I will not let my mistakes stop me, and I will keep striving to make God proud! Feel free to reach out to me via comment. I love and accept every comment regardless if you agree with me or not. I am very grounded in my faith that I do not worry about opposition. In fact, BRING IT ON. I'm just kidding with you all, but seriously, if you have anything to say, drop it in a comment down below. Hope you all have a God blessed day and rest of your week, and I look forward to seeing and hearing from you!
