Step 1: Understanding Battery Configuration

Each lithium-ion cell has a nominal voltage of 3.7V. To build a 12V battery, we need to connect three cells in series (3S configuration), which results in a total voltage of approximately 11.1V (3.7V x 3). When fully charged, the voltage reaches 12.6V (4.2V x 3).


Steps:

Place the cells into the battery holders.

Connect the cells in series using nickel strips and solder them.

Attach the BMS to ensure safe charging and discharging.



Insulate the pack with heat shrink tubing or electrical tape.
