DruPal this time is off to the Offbeat Orissa for a venture to grasp the essence of the jungle, hills and sea.
Therefore we opted Simlipal for this trip, which is 250kms away from Kolkata.
In this episode we shall roam around the dense forest of Simlipal Tiger Reserve.
Simlipal- the name itself is derived from the abundance of red silk cotton. This reserve forest is the reservoir of innumerable floras and faunas. This forest boasts the nurturing of several medicinal and aromatic plants which are the primary source of earning of the tribal people over there. The core area of the forest is the shelter of Asian elephant, tiger, leopard, bison, gaur, choushinga, giant squirrel, hill mynah and so many others. The forest also is the habitat of a few tribal people living in scattered villages.
To be enticed by the charm of jungle, to be captivated by the murmur of the rustling wind and to just fall in love by the falls and to be awestrucked by the nature- you will have to be here atleast once in lifetime.
