Let's go to the mountains to see the fall colors! Today we are headed to Mont-Tremblant about 130km north west of Montréal. Mont-Tremblant is nestled in the Laurentian mountains, surrounded by beautiful lakes and valleys. Even though it is a very popular ski resort, it is a year-round spot for outdoor enthusiasts. Today we are here to see the Autumn Leaves; as the green leaves change into bright yellows and reds during this season. We will take a lift to the main area, and then a gondola to the summit. The open-air lift brings you from, the base camp to the main area. It takes about 4 minutes each way, and it is free to ride throughout the day. The lift hovers just over the tree tops and the village below. A great way to take a bird’s eye-view. If you would like to spend a few nights on the premises there are plenty hotels for accommodations; but it is quite expensive no less than $200 per night, even a two-star hotel. As mentioned earlier, if you are an outdoor enthusiast, there are so many activities available. We are here today, to ride the panoramic gondola to the summit; about 900 meters high.
Every year in October visitors come here, to hike up the mountain or take the gondola to view the beautiful Fall colors. It cost $28 per person for a return ticket and takes about 25 minutes each way. Sit back relax and enjoy the autumn leaves. Here we are at the top of Mont-Tremblant. We got lucky with beautiful sunny 15-degree weather and not foggy. Be sure to pick a sunny day if you are coming here to enjoy the spectacular views. Grab an Adirondack chair or as us Canadians call it, a Muskoka chair, and take in the views with crisp mountain air. To go down to the base camp, we could take this lift again, instead let's scroll through the Pedestrian Village and look for something to eat. Most restaurants open only at noon, this time I decided to have a breakfast meal. Despite the lack of color on the plate the crepe was delicious.
