This is absolutely overwhelming to see how beautifully the works of #JibananandaDas, one of the finest poets of the last century, is being read, received and appreciated by the core literary canon of #Europe.
This is surely a milstone achievement for Saudha - Jibanananda Festival (জীবনানন্দ উৎসব) in preaching and propagating the works of #Jibanananda to contemporary poets, poetry-lovers and academics of the rest of the world.
Jibanananda's poem CITIES has been translated by Viktoria Somoff and performed in #Ukranian by Julia Prylutska of DPS theatre, a leading poetry-theatre group in #Ukraine for #SaudhaJibananandaFestival happened in Rich Mix London.
Heartfelt gratitude to my friend and award-winning poet and playwright John Farndon and the director of DPS theatre Alex Borovenskiy for all these hard works and such a significant support to the festival.
