Driver pulled into path of police cruiser

JENNER TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Two people were injured, including a police officer, in a crash involving a police cruiser Friday morning in Somerset County.State police said Sgt. James McKnight of Conemaugh Township police was driving an unmarked cruiser on Penn Avenue (Route 601) toward Boswell when Rodney Kensinger, 61, of Williamsburg, pulled into McKnights path.The crash happened at the intersection of Penn Avenue and Woodstown Highway at about 10 a.m., Somerset County dispatch said.McKnight and the passenger in his patrol vehicle, Daniel Beeman, 26, of Boswell, were injured and taken to area hospitals to be evaluated, police said.Kensinger, who was driving a pickup truck, was not injured, police said.There was no indication if any charges would be filed.
