Ingredients
Boneless chicken - 640 gm
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Pepper powder - 1/2tsp
Kashmiri chilli powder - 1 tbsp
Salt - to taste
Olive - 1 tbsp
Coconut oil - 1 to 2 tbsp
Chopped onion - 1 1/2cup
Green chilli - 1 tsp
Garlic - 1 bulb
Ginger - 1 medium size
Curry leaves - a few
Chopped tomato - 1
Garam masala - 1 tsp
Turmeric - a little
Kashmiri chilli powder - a little
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Puff pastry - 1 roll (8 pieces)
Egg wash - 1 egg
Method
In a bowl, add chicken, turmeric powder, chilli powder, pepper powder, olive oil and salt to taste. Mix well. Marinate for about 30mins.
Heat pan on medium flame, add coconut oil and when oil becomes hot, add marinated chicken and fry both sides.
Transfer the fried chicken into another bowl and keep aside. Cool completely.
In the same pan, add chopped onion, salt and green chilli. Mix well.
In a grinder, add ginger, garlic and curry leaves. Blend well.
Add the ginger-garlic mix into the pan and cook until translucent.
Add chopped tomato and mix well.
Add garam masala, chilli powder, coriander powder and mix well.
Cook until it becomes mushy.
Meanwhile, blend the fried chicken (don't over blend the chicken). Keep aside.
Add the blended chicken into the onion mixture and mix well.
The chicken mix is ready.
Cut the puff pastry into 8 pieces and place the chicken mix into the pastry and shape it well.
Preheat the oven at 180°C for about 10mins.
Bake at 180°C for about 30mins or until golden brown.
