The 997 Porsche GT3RS is considered one of the best engineered cars ever made; but why? Was it the fact that this was the last generation Porsche had with the Mezger engine? Or was it due to the fact that Porsche nailed the lightweight design of the car using things like lightweight plastic vs. glass? There's a few reasons why almost all enthusiasts love these cars, but the insane price tag has now interested car collectors that likely won't ever drive it. What a shame. The 997 4.0L GT3RS laid the foundation of what the 991.1 911 would do and help set a benchmark of performance for other cars at the time. No matter what, the GT3RS Porsche is something to respect and absolutely add to your list of "dream cars."
