How to Write a COVER LETTER for a Tourist Visa Application

People have been asking me to do this video and here it is guys finally, a guide in making a COVER LETTER for your VISA application.

***DISCLAIMER***
This is only a sample and is based on my personal experience and research. You could always put more relevant details which you feel the ECO (Entry Clearance Officer) should be made aware of.

Dear Sir / Madam,

My name is Queen Tas, a Filipino citizen and currently living at the above address, wishes to declare my intention to visit the UK from December 15, 2019 to January 5, 2020.

I wish to visit ( mention the name and address). She happens to be my first cousin and childhood bestfriend.

She offered to treat me as it would be my 50th birthday on December 31st. This would be a great time to be reunited with my bestfriend and also celebrate not just my birthday but Christmas and New Year.

I also wish to see some magnificent sights especially the famous London tourists attractions such as the Buckingham Palace, London Eye, Hydepark Winter Wonderland and experience the English way of life.

I am currently employed (name of employer) in (address of employer) since October 2013. My employer has already approved of my vacation from work during the duration of this trip.

Please find enclosed documents to support this application.

1. Duly filled out application form
2. Passport showing my travel history
3. Leave approval from my employer
4. My latest 6 months payslips and bank statements.
5. Business Permit
6. Letter of invitation from my cousin
7. Proof of Accommodation/address from my cousin.
8. Bank Statements from my cousin.
9. Detailed Itinerary

Please also note that I have travelled previously in Australia and Germany as a tourist on _________(mention date)

During these visits I made sure that I also have adequate funds and returned home at the end of my intended visit.

Planned Itinerary

December 15 - Arrival in London UK

17 - 20 - City Tour / sightseeing ( Shopping Areas etc)

21 - 23 - Visit our relatives in Cheshire

24- 25 - Christmas Celebration

26 - 28 - Visit Museums / Madame Tussaud
Buckingham Palace Etc

29 - 30 Preparation for my Birthday

31 - 1 Birthday (new year's eve / new year )

January 2 - 4 More shopping and more tourist attractions
Lego worls, watch musical, etc

5 Fly back to the Philippines


I understand that as a visitor in your country I should abide by your immigration rules and policies. I can assure you that I have sufficient funds to support myself during this visit and my cousin is responsible for my accommodation.

I cannot overstay as my employer only allowed me 20 days which is part of our Christmas Holidays and also I run a family business which would need my presence and supervision.

I trust that you will find everything in order and find my intentions to visit your country is acceptable.

I am so excited about this visit and would be forever grateful for your most favourable response.
