Up on the test bench today is a late 90's MMATS D200 700w monoblock amplifier. There were several monoblock amps offered by MMATS at the time, including the D100, D200, D300 as well as HC versions of each. All of the "non HC" models were rated to put out 600w at their optimal load, while the HC versions were rated at 1200w. Around the year 2000, MMATS changed the ratings based on 13.8v instead of the earlier 12.5V ratings, thus stating 700w for the regular versions and 1400w for the HC versions. MMATS also modified the model numbers around 2000/2001 and the D200 became the D700.2. Here are the ratings from MMATS for the D700.2:
Power at 13.8V: 700W into 2 ohms with less than 1% THD
S/N Ratio: -92dB A-Wtd
Frequency Response: 10 to 225Hz
Lowpass Filter: Variable 24dB, 70-200Hz
Idle Curent: 1A
Dimensions (LxWxH): 10" x 5.25" x 2.25"
