This is a comparison of a BOSS CH-1 Super Chorus and a BOSS CE-5 Chorus Ensemble. For this video both pedals are in stereo.
To record the stereo effect, I re-amped a mono guitar track into the pedals and then the signal goes into two Amplitube Fender '65 Super Reverb' models to capture the stereo effect.
A comparison of these pedals in mono can be found here [ Ссылка ]
To illustrate the stereo effect, there are two sections in the video. The first is a slower rhythm guitar track and the second is an arpeggiated guitar part.
NOTE: - There is a mistake - at 05:16 I should have set the DEPTH fully to 5 o'clock and not left it at 3, sorry!.
This is an interesting comparison, there is a difference the pedals but it is subtle. The CE-5 is brighter and perhaps more 'jangly' ?. Also it is worth noting that at the extreme settings of the EQ the stereo image gets messed up. There is a warning in the BOSS manual, so it was worth demonatrating.
I used the bridge pickup on a USA Fender Stratocaster for all the recorded guitar parts. The Bass is a Fender Player JazzBass.
