During my trip to Spain I took a trip to the Stadler Factory in Albuixech, Valencia. Just after I turned up I was lucky to see Rail Operations Group Class 93, number 93006 under going some test runs on diesel power on short runs up and down the track around the factory. Sadly it scuttled off around the corner and I only managed to get a short video of it pulling away at the last second. Later on it did some headlight tests as well as Dellner coupler testing which can be seen here.

I also saw 93005, 93005 & 93008 at various points around the depot.

Maybe at some point soon, we will see 93001, which has been in the UK for 9 months now finally run under its own power…?
