Don't Move To New Jersey - 10 Facts You Must know Before Moving Here
With great healthcare, impeccable schooling, and a quiet lifestyle - it makes sense as to why so many people are now making the move to New Jersey. But there are a few things that you should know about if you’re thinking of finding a home for yourself here.
1. High taxes
One of the very first things that you might want to consider before you even start thinking of moving to New Jersey is how much you will be spending on taxes.
People living here will pay an average amount of over $931,968 dollars in taxes in a lifetime, which is more than you would pay in any other state in the whole country.
Nationwide the average tax amount over lifetime is $525,037 which means NJ state taxes amount are almost 80% higher than the national average!
This is mainly because property taxes in this state are extremely high.
And if you plan on owning a home here, you’re probably going to be paying higher taxes here than you would anywhere else.
2. Traffic
With almost 9 million residents in New Jersey, regardless of how you commute the roads are always packed and busy.
Although the state has a pretty effective mass transit system, certain highways and roads such as route 3, route 4 , the Garden State Parkway, and the New Jersey Turnpike are always choked with cars.
So you either learn to live with it or you don’t. So, if you can’t manage planning ahead and leaving a little earlier to try and beat the traffic, moving here probably isn’t going to be all that fun for you.

NJ is one of the top 10 states to have the highest cost of living .
One the main defining factor in the formula is the cost of housing which ends up being 50% then the natural average.

The reason behind this debate is the fact that there is no definitive line separating the North from the South, leading to a lot of arguments over ownership.

The transit buses are ranked the 8th worst in the nation.
The reason is that the trains and buses were facing lots of mechanical problems as a result of that many lines were delayed or canceled, got overcrowded which prevented many residents of getting to their destination on time.
