Preparation for the 2019 World Water Ski Racing Championships was in Austria skiing behind Wolfram Kittl's F2 boat. Between June and August there were 3 races on the Danube River at different locations, Ybbs, Tulln and Willersbach. Unfortunately my race ski broke on flight over so I raced on a borrowed one in Ybbs and then a new one arrived from Australia for the other 2 locations. So was not skiing as well as I could of. Ended up 2nd in Mens Open for the season. In September we towed the boat 12 hours to Vichy in France for the World Ski Racing Championships where I skied behind Dan Sellick's boat (66 Racing) in Men's Masters. There were 3 races over 5 days (each 20 minutes + 1 lap so 9 laps completed each race). The bottom end of the course was relatively smooth but the top end was narrower and with concrete walls each side making it quite rough. Vichy was an excellent location for ski racing.
