Here's a 2 minute sound comparison of the EVH 5150III EL34's blue channel BEFORE and AFTER clipping the C137 capacitor.

It's debatable, but for my taste, I prefer the sound WITHOUT the capacitor, is more open and definitely less unwanted/boomy bass.

Moreover I compare both scenarios with/without a boost.
