Coach Arnie has hiked the Grand Canyon 15 times. He's going back again this week! He's an ultra-marathon runner and professional coach. He's helping me with my own adventure and I've asked him to share some of what he knows with all of you.
My name is Jared Taylor "JT" and I'm currently training to run the Grand Canyon Rim to Rim to Rim. So far I have 3 under my belt but I want to do it faster. So I'm working on that.
You don't need to "run" it or even go that far to enjoy the Grand Canyon. I've personally hiked the grand canyon multiple times since 2015.
In all my preparations over the years, there is one thing that I've learned. There is A LOT to learn. 😄😏
If you are planning to hike down to Indian Gardens or down to the river (Rim to River) or even if you are planning to hike all the way across (Rim to Rim) you may find this information helpful.
This video is not meant to be an extensive guide. Our goal is to share what we know about preparing for such a trip. We sincerely hope that something you hear in this video will help you plan for your own hike in the Grand Canyon.
Enjoy!
