We’ll be hosting experts from PwC - Blair Sheppard, PwC’s global leader for strategy and leadership, and Jaivir Singh, vice chairman of the PwC India Foundation. Together with our journalists, they will be providing insights into reporting the economic impacts of the pandemic.
Sheppard leads the PwC team that focuses on strategy and leadership for the PwC network. He has advised more than 100 companies and governments in the areas of leadership, corporate strategy, organizational relationships and design, and has published more than 50 books and articles. Sheppard is also professor emeritus and dean emeritus of Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. During his tenure at Duke, Sheppard created one of the world’s first blended degrees, the Global Executive MBA.
Singh is leading corporate responsibilities in India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Bhutan. He is also the leader for the PwC Global Office for Humanitarian Affairs. His wide-ranging experience and understanding of humanitarian and emergency response have contributed to building collaborations for humanitarian action between grassroots NGOs, INGOs and the private sector. He has conceptualized and guided projects for Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh and driven the COVID-19 response in select vulnerable international hotspots. Additionally, he also chairs the School for Social Entrepreneurs India, a unique institution looking at augmenting, through education, the Social Enterprise Ecosystem in India.
