In September 2022 we embarked on our stem cell treatment journey for Ariana. Ariana has severe spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy and is deaf (ANSD). When her little sister was born we banked her stem cells in hope to use them for Ariana one day. First, the two girls needed to be a complete HLA match, which is about 25% chance for full siblings. The girls ended up matching 100% and we qualified for the Duke Stem Cell Treatment Trial. Don't let the term "trial" fool you.. this trial costs $15,000 out of pocket. Duke does not accept payment plans or insurance. Stem cell treatment can take up to a year to see full effects, follow our page to see our journey.
